Manuka school is a Travel Wise school and has been since 2005. Manuka School encourages the use of alternative transport options like walking and car pooling. There are curricula and co-curricula initiatives to support a culture of sustainable transport at Manuka School. Also there are better "Drop Off" points around the school area than the front gate. These drop off zones are Neal Ave, Camrose Place, Cunliffe Place and Gladys Ave. From these drop off points there are walkways that lead to the rear entrance of the school. There is less traffic congestion and stress for parents dropping off children.
